When mother passed last December while COVID-19 was rampant, it was our intention to have a face-to-face gathering in Kingston sometime near the end of 2021 to celebrate her life. While the several vaccines that became readily available earlier this year gave us much hope, the Delta variant had other ideas. Accordingly, in its place, we have lovingly created a site for all to memorialize any fun or heart-warming personal stories, pictures, videos, or memories you may want to share about our mom.

Mark E Asheville, 61, of Astoria, New York, passed away Friday, October 28, 2021. He was born on April 17, 1960 in New York, NY to Rosemarie and Mark Asheville. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Sue Ann Pintchik and step-father Edwin...  moreMark E Asheville, 61, of Astoria, New York, passed away Friday, October 28, 2021. He was born on April 17, 1960 in New York, NY to Rosemarie and Mark Asheville. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Sue Ann Pintchik and step-father Edwin Sheville, “the greatest dad ever.” A natural introvert, he had an enduring love for education, both formal and informal. It continued throughout his life as a voracious reader of books. At home, he spent his time engaging with and sharing his passions. These passions included devouring volumes of literature, writing in notebooks, teaching on chalkboards. His memory will be remembered. He leaves behind a sister Leslie and brother Charles. Mark will be cremated and ashes spread upon his request. ”I will see you, when I see you.” Mark.  less
