Wendy Marie Kay was born in Newton Burgoland, Leicestershire, England on April 1, 1945. She passed peacefully at home on September 18, 2020 in the company of her daughters.
A loving mother and wife, Wendy was the heart of her family. She was always generous with her time where her family was concerned. She enjoyed cooking family meals, especially over the holidays. She loved spending time with her many friends and always had an active social life. Being outside in nature was her passion, whether hiking in the wilderness or gardening in her yard. Her beautiful flowers will miss her too!
Wendy was predeceased by her husband of 50 years. David Ian Kay (born June 21, 1944 in Blackburn, Lancashire, England) passed on less than seven weeks ahead of her. Together in life, together in death.
David was the yin to her yang. David was obsessive in his hobbies. The one he most enjoyed in recent years was participating in his two Miata car clubs.
Wendy and David are survived by their daughters Rebecca Astolfo and Victoria Kay, and four grandchildren: Sydney Astolfo, Evan Astolfo, Julian Cichocki and Konrad Cichocki. David is survived by his sister Jillian Tolley.
Wendy requested a small funeral service, but in light of the Covid situation we find ourselves in at this time, we are honoring her and our father’s memory with a virtual service on November 4th at 4 pm EST.
