Toks' spirit lives on. She's never the type to see anyone hurt, scared, or upset. Her compassion and love for people are authentically her. She believed in kindness before it was ever 'a thing'. I reminisce on the our senior spring break trip, having a blast! It was then I learned that we had so much in common, especially our love for laughter. She was also instrumental in helping me with my transition to DC after we graduated from Columbia. She was quick to introduce me to her peers, places to go, and we also became closer as a result. Toks only knew how to behave one way: with love and respect and I admired her for that. Toks came from a loving home, and that became even more evident after spending time with her parents and younger sister. Toks will always be my special friend and I miss her dearly. I'm sure everyone else she's come in contact with feels the same as I do. May her spirit live on and we remember and share what she will always mean to us.
