OBITUARY
My dad taught me that the only thing that is constant in life is change. In that spirit, I'm making peace with his passing and really appreciating his big love during his life. I hope we can all gather on zoom, share stories and remember his big love and his big presence together. I am so grateful for family and community during this time. Sending love to you all.

We had a private room in an Italian restaurant and a big group of your friends were at a big, round table surrounded by photos of popes. Your dad passed around an old piece of paper that he'd held onto and cherished since you were in second grade. On it, you'd written, "I am going to be a lawer and wear a mini skirt." He gave a speech, and I was moved by his eloquence and deep feeling for you. He could not have been more proud, and I didn't know before then about his public speaking prowess.
I also remember when he got livid with an ex-boyfriend of yours because your windshield wipers were broken, and the bf hadn't done anything to fix them. He was definitely a chivalrous man from the old school. I loved him for it. less
Loulena, I recall first how proud he was of you. Do you remember this photo from Tri-Valley CAREs' annual strategic planning retreat in 2016? Sending you this memory with condolences for your loss and with good thoughts too...
