OBITUARY
Shirley Mae Vaughn Jackson passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Calvary Hospital – Bronx, NY after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Shirley was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on January 26, 1934. She grew up on Violet Avenue in Hyde Park, NY, and graduated in 1951 as the Valedictorian of the F. D. Roosevelt High School.     Mom was so happy to see her first grandson graduate college. I'm grateful that Tyson was so driven to graduate a year early. We were able to celebrate his accomplishment together which was a blessing. Who knew we would be quarantined a year later.
