OBITUARY
Roger Neil Colburn was born on April 29th 1941 in Duncan, Oklahoma. He passed on November 10th 2019 in Portland, Oregon. Roger attended Lake Washington High School, but dropped out to join the Air Force in 1959. He served as a cryptologic language analyst in Alaska and Greece. During his time in Alaska he became a Christian and decided to serve Christ Jesus. He passed on November 10th 2019 in Portland, Oregon. Roger attended Lake Washington High School, but dropped out to join the Air Force in 1959. He served as a cryptologic language analyst in Alaska and Greece. During his time in Alaska he became a Christian and decided to serve Christ Jesus. Upon his separation from the Air Force in 1963 he met and married Mary Barbara Stone. After the birth of his second child and 1966 he moved his family to Portland Oregon. He worked as a copy printer for several years until starting his own contracting business with partner Bill Talich. He changed careers again in 1981 when he started having back problems because of his job as a contractor. He went to work for AAA auto club and was a top-producing membership salesman for many years until his retirement. He was a faithful husband, loving father, and good friend to those who knew him well. He was very involved in the church as an elder, lay worker, and discipler. He lost his first wife Mary Barbara Colburn to congestive heart failure an 2013 and then remarried in 2014 to Joanne Reedy. A year later he started having health issues and ended up in an adult foster home for the remaining four years of his life. He passed away on November 10th 2019. He is survived by his daughter, Sue Colburn, and his son, Dave Colburn as well as his four sisters, Carol Colburn, Cheryl Hannold, Cathy Soldan, and Connie Rockhill, his brother Robert Colburn, and his second wife Joanne Reedy Colburn.
