Robert L. Bloom, 71, died suddenly of COVID-19 at his home in Brooklyn, NY on April 12th, 2020. A lifetime resident of Brooklyn, he was born on March 5, 1949 to Ethel and Irving Bloom who predeceased him. Bloom, 71, died suddenly of COVID-19 at his home in Brooklyn, NY on April 12th, 2020. A lifetime resident of Brooklyn, he was born on March 5, 1949 to Ethel and Irving Bloom who predeceased him. Robert was a dedicated sports fan and traveled with his friends to games up and down the eastern seaboard. He followed so many teams, including but not limited to the NY Mets, Brooklyn Cyclones, Brooklyn Nets, NJ Devils, and the NYU Violets. He was also a supporter of animal rescue and devoted to his own two cats. Minnie and Mittens. He received a Bachelor of Science from City College of New York and a Master of Science from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. He is survived by numerous family and friends. Robert will be buried alongside his parents, Irving and Ethel Bloom, in a virtual graveside service on: Friday, April 16th at 2:00 PM at New Montefiore Cemetery in West Babylon, NY.
