Randy L. Bell peacefully left this earth on Saturday, May 30th at the young age of 71. Randy was born in Bellingham in 1948, and grew up with his siblings Roger, Rudy, and Renee, and his parents Richard & Marylin. Randy served proudly as an Army Paratrooper in the 101st Airborne. He was sent to Vietnam where he bravely spent two tours. When Randy returned home, he met Rebecca (Becky) his eternal love. After having their first daughter Rachel in Seattle, the Bell family moved to Minneapolis, where their other two daughters Sarah and Kristiane were born. Randy made each one of his daughters feel like they were special to him. He had a song for each one of them. Randy embraced the important family traditions like building snow forts, family dinners, family road trips, decorating Christmas trees, and making goofy home videos. When the girls were teens, the Bell family moved back to Washington, where Randy started his own business. It was during this time when Randy began talking more about his time in Vietnam, and the impact to his body that agent orange exposure was having. Every time his daughters would ask what he wanted for Christmas or his birthday, his answer was World Peace. Randy Bell will always be remembered as the world's coolest dad. Before leaving this earth, he asked that folks donate to Wounded Warriors in his name. If you are interested in doing so, please click the donate button on this memorial, and it will go directly to Wounded Warriors. Randy loved embracing life with his friends and family. Randy leaves behind seven grandchildren that he loved very much: Katie, Emily, Lauren, Luke, Max, Lucy, and Henry.
