Mom's art
Diane painted these portraits when she was in high school, in the era that sad Native American Indian children were a popular theme. They express her grief that she often spoke of for the genocide of the people. They are stunning, and they influenced me as her daughter growing up around them. Mom had a dream of crafting a book / map with all the original Indian names of the hills, rivers, etc. in our country.
