Patricia "Pat" Shires passed into eternal life two weeks after her 88th birthday.  She carried a sincere, joyful smile all her days.

Born in Buffalo, New York to Carl & Martha Williams, she was an older sister to Carl Jr. and Linda.  She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University and then received a Masters in Physical Education at UW-Madison where she met her loving husband, Paul Shires.  They were married June 7th, 1959 in Buffalo, until his passing February 6th, 2004. Living in Glendale, Wisconsin for most of her life, she worked in various educational settings for many years and enjoyed teaching swimming lessons during summers at Nicolet High School.

An active member of the United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay for nearly 60 years, she enjoyed singing in the choir and volunteering in various capacities including with the North Shore School for Seniors, which Paul founded.  She loved birdwatching, playing tennis, and traveling.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her three children: Glen (wife Rhiannon), Mark (wife Carol) and Linda (husband Andy), her ten grandchildren (Kayla, Aaron, Mo, Juliet, Zak, Laura, Nadia, Eliana, Jude, and Sarah), great-grandchild Olivia, and her brother Carl.

The family will hold a virtual Memorial Service and Time of Sharing on September 26th at 11:00am CT (10:45am Prelude).
