OBITUARY
It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of Octavio Diaz on the morning of Saturday, January 30th, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Tavo was an incredible husband and father, and we are thankful that he was able to retain his kind and caring demeanor up until his final days. The family will miss him dearly. If you would like to honor Octavio, we request that you consider donating to the Alzheimer's Association...  see more

Octavio was Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) Sales Manager in Monterrey and Mexico City when I was National Sales Manager there in 1981-1982. Wonderful guy. He invited us to his family's small hacienda for an authentic Mexican BBQ. Great chef! My...  more

This is one of my favorite pictures both Lisa and Tavo smiling, as always. This is how I want to remember him. He is in my heart.

Tavo was a great guy. He always had a smile on his face and was willing to assist anyone if they had a problem or an issue. Because I worked for Gary for a number of years, he frequently took me to Marlboro CC and we'd run into Tavo waiting on us to tee...  more

To my very best friend. I miss you terribly. A life well lived but cut far too short. It has taken me a while to write this, longer than I would have ever expected, but so many memories to gather up. I remember our times together at Marlboro Country...  more

I remember the times that Tavo came to visit Gabe at our house in Hyde Park. We sat together more than once in the back yard, under the tree, and had a few beers. He liked to talk about Mexico, and I asked him about how he grew up. I remember him being...  more

I will always celebrate the love of my parents - truly a romance story that transcended cultures and countries. I am so grateful that my Dad passed in the loving care of my Mom. That is exactly how he would have wanted to go.

My Dad was such a generous and loving person. He was happiest when he could support other people and being groups together. Such a warm and loving spirit. I never had any doubt that any place I needed him to be or any thing I would ask, he would give...  more
