At work we received and processed a lot of emails and I was often amused by Mig's disapproval of poorly worded and grammatically incorrect messages, especially from managers 'who should know better' (I'm now double checking these words just in case!). Mig was immensely proud of all her family and would often chat with us about Colin or her children and their partners, or her grandchildren and she was also genuinely interested and supportive of our own family lives. She was a welcome source of advice for me in my own parenting efforts as a father of two very young children, as my daughter and son were back then (they're now 12 and 10).
Thank you Mig for the laughs and the advice, both of which are sorely missed as are you. Rest in peace

Mig and Colin were a wonderful couple, and have raised an incredible family who will serve as an ongoing testament to what a wonderful person Mig was. She was so incrediby kind and gracious to invite us into her and Colin's home in 2013 during our whirlwind trek through the United Kingdom. And it was always so lovely when we'd learn that Mig and Colin were headed to Texas to visit Michael and his family, because that invariably meant Tara and I would have the great privilege of a dinner or two with the vivacious, gregarious, and sweet Mig!
Mig will be incredibly missed. We feel very blessed to have known Mig and to have spent time with her through the years.
Colin, Michael and Natalie - We wish you all peace and comfort. Our door is always open to all of you.

Colin and Mig have been like parents to me. As the mother of my closest and dearest friend Natalie, Mig was warm, kind and caring and looked out for me from the minute Natalie and I became friends. I have been a part of the Watkins family for 30 years and I am so grateful that Mig has shared some of my most precious moments in life with me. When I think of Mig I think of her sense of humour her love of life and how proud and happy she was telling us news about her grandchildren . I loved her love of words and books and all of the wonderful stories we shared together. We were blessed to have known such a wonderful lady, we could call a friend.
We are sending our thoughts and prayers to you Colin, Michael and Natalie.

No babysitter for our toddler? No problem, bring her and her travel cot! Such a warm welcome to a neighbourhood where we knew nobody.
Natalie became our number one babysitter and the kids adored her.
It was always apparent that Mig’s family were her enduring love, and her joy at the grandchildren arriving was infectious.
I’ve got happy memories of lunches at the Dutch with Mig before Covid changed our world and grateful memories of her & Colin’s many kindnesses; in particular the ongoing emotional & practical support during the last few years whilst Alex was ill & in treatment. In the last year Mig really became our fairy godmother when Covid hit and we had to hunker down at home to protect Alex (10 months & counting) ....the kids (not really kids anymore) always excited & amused to see what goodies Mig had added to our grocery order.
The best and kindest of neighbours for nearly 25 years and a friendship I will miss. Sleep well Mig xxx less

I have know Mig since I was two days old and have so many amazing memories and so much love for Mig. Natalie and I grew up together as friends at school and outside school and our families were such great friends and spent so many happy times together.
We often went to Gandia on holiday together and had so much fun and laughter together. We all laughed at the crazy speedy waiter that was always there and
Mig was always the most amazing host and as kids I remember many happy times going to The Ridgeway house and having such fun. Mig was the most caring and loving lady and had so much love for all.
My heart goes out to Migs family and hope the memories will bring some warmth in this very hard time. She really was the most amazing woman. less

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the Watkins family on the passing of Mig .
Mig was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. We first met Mig at the wedding of Michael and Corrine in 2009 in Malaysia. We took to her immediately as she was warm and friendly. We are so blessed because Mig treated Corrine like her own daughter. She was there in the US to help out Michael and Corrine when the children were born.
We last saw Mig in October 2019 in London. We had a reunion dinner. We also had a day out together with the grandchildren visiting places of interest in London.
May Mig rest in peace. She maybe gone but will always be remembered.
Love,
CK & Sue less

I was shocked to receive your email and extremely sad to learn of Mig’s passing.
From the hospitality that she and all of you demonstrated on our regular New Year’s Eve “sleepovers“ all those years ago, to our most recent catch-up during a highly enjoyable drive from Windsor to Hertfordshire, Mig never failed to make an impression on me through her good-naturedness, accommodativeness, and kind interest in my various antics.
I realise that at times such as these words can be of little comfort, but my thoughts are very much with you and all of your family, and I genuinely share your sorrow.
If I am able to join you on Sunday evening, I most certainly will do, but in the meantime I just wanted to write to convey my most heartfelt condolences.
With fondest wishes to you all,
Alexander x less

You had such a zest for life, your family being the centre of your world. The excitement you had about finding out you were going to be a grandma for the first time was immense and I’m sure the same reaction was had when grandchild 2 and 3 entered the world. I will always have fond memories of you. You had an infectious laugh and I’ll never forget the days we laughed until we cried at an off the cuff remark that was made. You established my love for strawberry jam and cheese sandwiches after bringing one in for me after being shocked that I never tasted one! The amount of books you read and passed on to me would have allowed me to start my own library
- I still have the book on the side in my room that I promised to give back to you and never seemed to get round to dropping it off. You were one of the best and loved by everyone and will never be forgotten. xxx less

I remember you telling me how you had to woo her parents, as well as Mig herself, to prove you were the best choice of husband for their daughter, over and above the competition. And of course love won out, as it nearly always does.
You promised wonderful holidays and global travel, a life well lived. Mig was very lucky.
I only hope Patrick and I can enjoy such a long and happy marriage as yours.
