    To Mark’s family,
I was shocked to see Mark’s obituary in the local Island paper this week. Absolutely shocked, and deeply saddened. I had only known Mark for the handful of years he has been on Vashon, but they were very meaningful, and I had...  more

Mark... an amazing force of intelligence, story telling, love, intensity, inspiration. He is an irreplaceable part of our family. John and I, along with our girls, will miss and love him forever. See you again my friend in the great beyond.

It's not like wings have fallen, cannot stay
But still something's missing, cannot say

Will I walk the long road? Cannot...  more

The loss of a remarkable board member: Mark Stranahan

Last year was one that so many of us...  more

As we all know life is filled with ups and downs, twist and turns. Unfortunately, I think for most of us during this last year we’ve all become too accustomed to the downs and those twists and turns that lead us in an undesirable direction. I know for...  more

    -for Marcos

    One architect
    Two homes
    Three wives
    Four children.

His parts, his gears, his machinations,
Embodied with perfection, his energy exists in many forms.
Wantonly, he converts from one form to another,
    With a lust for...  more
