Linda Jean Arruda-Allen (néeWalter)

Linda J. Arruda-Allen (57), died unexpectedly May 3, 2020, at Sturdy Memorial hospital in Attleboro, MA. She was born November 18, 1962, in Stoughton, MA, the daughter of Kurt J. and Jean M. (Wright) Walter.

Linda graduated from Bristol County Agricultural High School, Class of 1980. Following graduation, she attended Southeastern Regional Technical Institute, earning a Certificate in Dental Assisting. Linda worked as a Dental Assistant for several years, posted at the Paul A. Dever State School Dental Clinic. Subsequent to that, Linda attended Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School, where upon graduation she worked for Frito Lay as an Executive Assistant. In 1994, Linda married her long-time sweetheart, Mark Arruda, and they settled in Brockton, later moving to Taunton. Following that, Linda transitioned into the Commercial Insurance industry, where she stayed for many years. It was during this time that Linda was diagnosed with, fought and beat breast cancer.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her ex-husband, Mark Arruda. Surviving her parents, Kurt and Jean Walter; sisters Mary Medeiros of Florida, Tanja Walter and Nikki Paull and brother Karl Walter; as well as nephews and her two beloved nieces.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service at 1:00pm EST on Saturday, June 20^thvia a Zoom conference. (Please see the “Events” page for details on attending the memorial.)
