Celebration of Life
Levera Bell was born on June7, 1922 to the union of Earl and Lena Taylor in Gisbland Louisiana. She was the eldest of five children: Earl Jr, Curtis, Saul and Annie, all who have preceded her in death. She was baptized at an early age by Reb Dixon at First Mt Zion Baptist Church in Cleburne Texas.
She united in marriage with the love of her life, Herman Bell, on December 30, 1952 and worked faithfully in the church until her health failed her. She was a member of the Women's Bible Class #2, the Inspirational Chorus< Martha Circle and the General Mission. Our parents took us to church each and every Sunday. They spoke to us about who God is and encouraged us to make God the head of our lives. Because of that home training, we know we will see them again.
Preceding her into death are her parents: Earl and Lena Taylor, her siblings: Earl Jr, Curtis, Saul and Annie Breedlove, her husband: Herman Bell and her grandson: Barnett Bolton III.
She leaves behind to celebrate her wonderful life: her children- Eddie Bell(Lisa), Willie Bell(Shirley), Dolores Collins and Bettye Blunt. Her grandchildren- Vincent bell, Shirlonda Short(Henry), Willie Bell II(Athena), Emmett Blunt III, Branden Valentine(Ramiyah), Eddie Bell II and Terrence Bell. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Her godchildren- Ruby Pryor, Carolyn Pryor, Rita Sims, Rita Roberson, Rosie Hayward, Loretta Lutcher, Vanessa Franklin and Kenyatta Stewart.
We love and thank our neighbors for being there for us: Bobbie Adams, Miriam Jones, Opal Jenkins, Pamela Taylor, Brandylyn Davis, Fanny Fudge, James Paul Hopkins and Josephine McNeal. She will truly be missed by her children, relatives and the Bethel Church Family.
Acknowledgement
In these sad times, it's part of God's plan that friends help friends in anyway they can. We, the family of Levera Bell find strength in our faith and count on God's love and peace in knowing that our friends are praying for us. Thank you for being here in our time of sorrow. ~ The Bell Family ~
When you left
She left us in the early morning, when softly came the dawn and since she so peacefully went away, it's hard to think you're gone. We know who is keeping her, where the sweet Joy never departs and in our hearts your memory lingers, tender and true. Already there is not a day, Mom, that we don't think of you. Though our hearts are breaking, we knew you could not stay. You left behind our aching hearts, that loved you most sincere. We never shall and never will forget you, my beautiful Diva dear. ~ Bettye Blunt ~
I have fought a good fight. Who can find a virtuous woman;
I have finished my course. for her price is far above rubies
