Lawrence E. Stewart, Jr., AKA Mickey, was born Friday, April 10, 1970, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Peggy and Lawrence E. Stewart, Sr. He was educated in the public school system, graduated from South Philadelphia High School in 1988, and went on to enroll in the distinguished Historically Black University, Cheyney University of Pennsylvania. 

He left Philadelphia and moved to California in 1989 after his family, a Marine Corps family, relocated in 1988 because he couldn't bear to be apart from them for too long. Always a life long learner, Lawrence quickly enrolled in MiraCosta College to resume his studies. He made many friends everywhere he went and was an extremely engaging personality. As an ambassador of the Oceanside Sister Cities Program he worked with the Oceanside, Ca. Mayor's office to host and entertain many students from Japan. His interest and love of Japanese culture and his love of learning inspired him to become fluent in Japanese. He loved to showcase his language skills to everyone and got a kick out of their reaction.

On September 17, 2006, he was married to his beloved wife, Natalie Stewart and they called Riverside California their home. Lawrence and Natalie loved to vacation in the Dominican Republic and they have several friends who are like family to them there. They affectionately called him Daddy Lawrence.

Lawrence also had many business ideas, but one business he was extremely proud of was The Sumergido Immersion Language School. Sumergido is an online Spanish Language immersion Program, designed for the student, traveler & worker. He and Natalie worked on the school together and they recently started branching out to other languages such as Yoruba and Igbo. One of Lawrence's recent achievements was to graduate with his BS in Healthcare Administration from Ashford University. Ever the life long learner, Lawrence completed his dream of graduation on May 5, 2019.

Lawrence leaves to mourn his beloved wife Natalie Stewart, two sisters, LaTasha Stewart Estelle and Tanya Jones-Awolusi, three Nephews, Robert S. Jones, Jr., Lloyd I. Estelle, III, Mason Majors, and one niece, Aamira B. Jones. He also leaves behind Dennis Majors, Father-in-law, Billie Majors, Mother-in-law, Matthew Majors and Michael Awolusi, Brother-in-Laws, Myiesha Majors, and Brittany Majors, Sister-in-Laws, one Uncle, two Aunts and a host of other relatives and friends.
