In loving memory of Lawrence "Larry" Olivero of Rochester, Michigan. Lawrence was born on October 10, 1970 in New Brunswick, NJ and passed on July 31, 2019. Lawrence will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Lawrence F. Olivero and Catherine A. Olivero; siblings Anita Maniaci, Joanie Giglio, Regina Olivero and Peter Olivero; as well as 7 nieces and nephews.
Most recently Larry was living in Grand Blanc, MI. Many will agree that he considered Rochester as his home town where he went to school, cultivated friendships and lived many years.
He was an avid sports fan, none more than Football. His heart was left broken year after year by his beloved Detroit Lions. UM, Michigan State- Football and Basketball; Detroit Redwings, Tigers, he loved it all.
Larry was an unabashed atheist. He did not believe in God, Heaven or an Afterlife. He supported separation of Church and State, freedom of, and from religion, civil liberty and social equality.
Lawrence, as he liked to be called lately, was a talented artist. The time he spent in California was his most creative period. His paintings and sculpture were bright and bold, much like his surroundings there.
While living in St Louis he uncovered a tiled mosaic ceiling in disrepair in the lobby of an historic building under renovation. He restored the tile work meticulously with care and technique to preserve it to original splendor. The story was featured on a local St. Louis morning show.
Music and Beat Literature was a driving force in Larry's life. Bob Dylan and David Bowie were most exalted. Charles Bukowski and Hunter S. Thompson kept his vivid imagination alive.
He spent time in many places throughout his life. Where we live and how we live makes us who we are. Each city is unique in its contribution to a collective whole. In Larry's life those places include:
Old Bridge, NJ; Huntington, NY; Pleasant Ridge, MI; Rochester, MI; Orion, MI; Encinitas, CA; Venice, CA;Palm Springs, CA; Mexico City; St Louis, MO; Martha's Vineyard, MA; Lakewood, CO.
