It is with great sadness that Lawrence Allen (Larry) Parkinson passed in the early morning of February 15, 2021 at the age of 63 in Chula Vista, California. He was a resilient man, who had battled severe health issues over the past decade but never gave up, because it meant more valued time spent with family. Lawrence was born March 22, 1957 to Mary Lou and David kay Parkinson in National City, California. His memory lives on with his two younger sisters Brenda and Debbie, wife Brenda Ropp, three children, Kristen, Paul and Michelle, several grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He loved his family and saw the true value in a hard days work. Fallowing in his father David's footsteps, he dedicated over 30 years of his life to working as a machinist for Solar Turbines, and retired in 2019. Larry was a long standing and proud member of the international association of machinist and aerospace workers union, where he was named Chief Shop Steward. He is a man who no one will soon forget. Most knew him as Larry, a wise-cracking sparkplug who never failed to speak his mind and was often seen flying by on his Harley with car alarms echoing in the distance. He will be forever in our hearts and is now riding in heaven.
