Keith left us too early, so we offer this space as an opportunity for people to share memories, photographs, videos, thoughts, and prayers for a man who will forever be in our hearts.
The world lost a shining light when Keith Patrick Jones of Huntington Beach CA, passed away after a brave fight with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), on February 9th, 2021. During Keith’s 7-year battle with ALS he showed amazing courage and strength through all stages of this terrible disease.
In his short 52 years, Keith impacted so many lives and achieved much to be proud of. His successes were earned through deep love and caring commitment to his family, friends, and work family. Keith was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his wife Heather, daughter Madisen, brothers Kevin and Justin, sister Jaycee, stepmother June Jones and mother-in-law Margaret Hartnett, brothers-in-law William Hartnett, Jr., Terrence Hartnett and Jonathan Hartnett, sisters-in-law Erin Jones and Victoria Hartnett and nieces and nephews Kaelyn Hartnett, Lexy Jones, Lincoln Jones and Blake Bentley, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
Keith was born on September 3rd, 1968 and lived in Hacienda Heights, CA where he spent time with his family, and he built enduring friendships in his childhood that he nurtured throughout his life. He graduated from Glen A. Wilson High School in 1986 and went on to earn a degree in accounting which brought him to Redondo Beach, CA where he started working for DISC Distributing in Torrance, CA. Keith then moved to Huntington Beach, CA and worked for Ingram Micro in Santa Ana, CA where he worked for many years and then transitioned to the Aerospace industry. During the span of his career in the technology and aerospace industries Keith took much pride in his work and building lasting relationships.
Growing up Keith was an incredible athlete and had a love for soccer. He played on multiple club teams, spending many weekends on the field. He also genuinely enjoyed the ocean and spending time at the beach, after work and on weekends, he would grab his boogey board and be at the beach for hours! A favorite pastime was attending USC football games, where you could find him cheering on his favorite players Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart.
We have many wonderful memories of Keith; He was a very doting father and loved spending time with Madisen. When she was little, they would sit on her bed and read stories to her stuffed animals and dolls. Keith also made it a point to support his daughter’s passion, horseback riding. Keith spent countless hours at the barn with Madisen caring for the horses and watching her ride. Keith and Madisen have such an incredible bond and they love each other so very much. A love to last a lifetime.
Keith had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a smile! Keith was truly a genuine soul and an amazing light in all our lives. We are so incredibly lucky to have shared our lives with him. He left us much too soon.
