Jean E. Plante, age 77, formerly of Warwick, passed away on March 28, 2015, after a long battle with heart and COPD conditions.

She was born on July 14, 1937, the daughter of the late Harold and Edith (Saucier) Allen and had recently moved to Cary, North Carolina. Those who knew Jean know of her nature of being a practical joker and always coming up with ways to get others laughing.

Jean is survived by her husband Maurice Plante, also formerly of Warwick, RI, who now resides in North Carolina. She was the mother of Alan Plante of Seekonk, Massachusetts, Steven Plante of Warwick, RI, Lynette Lipke of Hampstead, North Carolina and Jennifer Ead of Cary, North Carolina. She was the sister of Thomas Allen, Carol Lombardi, Diane Carlson, Linda Goodinson and Denise Nickerson. She was the grandmother of twelve; and great-grandmother of three.
