Jared Howard Morgan went to Heaven in the arms of his loving wife, Becky, on November 15, 2020 at their home in Gallatin, TN after a strong and courageous battle with cancer. He was 40 years old.
Jared was born on December 28, 1979 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Michael and Doreen Morgan. At the age of 9 he moved to Panama City Beach, Florida where the ocean quickly became his favorite place. He later graduated from Mosley High School and Gulf Coast Community College before moving to Orlando, Florida in 2004 with his best friend Ken.
Jared is survived by his wife and #1 teammate Becky and their three children Ava (age 10), Ashton (age 8) and Zachary (age 6). His loving parents Mike and Doreen Morgan, best friend and brother Jim and wife Amber, Grandmother Josie Ramos, nieces Ally and Jenna and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. His mother and father in love Sue and David Thornquest and brother and sister in love Jeff and Mandy Turner.
He is preceded in death by his Grandfather Albert Ramos, Pepere and Memere, Howard and Pam Morgan. He loved them dearly and we rejoice knowing they are now reunited.
Jared had a love for his family and friends that could never be measured. He lived life solely for their happiness and his smile and laugh did just that- made everyone happy. He lit up any room he walked into and could change the mood instantly with his bright and energetic personality. He welcomed any and everyone with open arms and whether you just met him or knew him for a lifetime the impact was all the same. It was truly a gift to have known him. He had a gift for listening and wisdom when he spoke. We are so thankful he has passed that trait on to his brave and strong daughter Ava Reese. He had so much fun in life and made everyday exciting.
Jared knew how to work hard but play harder. He often showed that on the court. Basketball was one of Jared’s passions and he was able to pass that love on to his boys. One could find him playing every chance he could get. One could also find him icing his ankles shortly after! He also loved the FSU Seminoles and Jacksonville Jaguars. Even if most weekends weren’t in his favor he was a forever fan :)
