On Tuesday, September 1, 2020, Jane Vinson, loving partner, friend, and mother, passed away at the age of 60. She spent her last days surrounded by her loving partner and best friend, Cat, and her four children, Kirk, Alec, Sydney, and Riley
Jane was born on July 27, 1960 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Jane and Edward Manson. She was the sister of Bill Manson.
Jane was a fun woman with a love for life, known for her sense of humor. She was funny, witty, sarcastic, and stubborn. Before her cancer diagnosis, she was always moving. Cat and Jane would go on fun adventures together, whether it was a brief stint driving for Uber to travel around Southern California and have wild interactions with passengers, or taking day trips to walk around the Venice Boardwalk. When her children were young, Jane would frequently take them to amusement parks, museums, parks, the beach, and more. As Jane said, "You're only a kid once. You should have fun."
Jane loved The Peanuts, and had a large collection of Peanuts memorabilia.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Jane and Edward. She is survived by her partner, Catherine (Cat) Quinlog, her four children, Kirk, Alec, Sydney, and Riley, and her brother, Bill.
A memorial will be planned in the Philadelphia area once it is safe for people to travel and gather.
We are encouraging donations to Planned Parenthood for those who would like to make any contributions in Jane's name. Planned Parenthood is a trusted healthcare provider and advocate of reproductive healthcare. An important service Planned Parenthood provides is cancer screening. One in five women have used Planned Parenthood's health care services at least once in their life. In fact, Jane received her cervical cancer diagnosis after she visited Planned Parenthood. The organization helped connect Jane to social services and medical insurance to get the care she needed. We hope you consider donating to help other women get the care they need.
Rest in peace, Jane. You are so loved and will be missed dearly.
