James (Jim) Edward Davidson, aged 76, passed into God's care January 12th, 2021 after complications from pneumonia.
Jim grew up in small town Clifton, Texas and enlisted in the Navy after finishing high school. He traveled the world and became a "Mustang", rising quickly through the ranks and leaving the Navy after 23 years as Lt. Commander with a degree from Chapman University, having served as a Naval Flight Officer on P3-C Orions and serving on the USS Enterprise CVN65.
Jim met the love of his life and soul mate dancing at a USO and regularly shared with his children that he spotted those fantastic ankles from across the room.
Jim poured his life into a few loves: His love of God shaped and guided his life. He was a member of Park Victoria Baptist Church for 48 years and served as a deacon, teaching leader, and finally as their handyman.
Jim loved golf and was finally able to play a significant amount in the last 20 years of his life. Although he purchased golf clubs for all of his children and grandchildren, he had yet to find anyone quite as committed as he to the sport. This was a constant source of humor for him and the family.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jacqueline (Jackie) Davidson, four children Chris Davidson, James P. Davidson, Jennifer Mathews, and Jonathan Davidson, nine grand children, and two beloved dachshunds (Susie and Annie).
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family recommends a donation to help children receive computers to further their ability to join the digital universe. https://www.techexchange.org/our-story.html
