Hearing the words that she was gone was devastating as we just shared a phone conversation days prior. A good friend who always spoke her mind and told you how it is... We shared lots of memories together... Rather it was playing hookie from work to attend a good movie and enjoy a meal, to attending football games or joining me for Sunday worship we truly enjoyed each others company. I can go on for hours on the many memories she and I shared but the last one that is so memorable is the time we spent celebrating my 50th Birthday. We had a blast and I'm so thankful for spending that memorable time with such a good friend.
A good friend yes indeed she was to me.
My condolences to the family and all that knew Helen. May God continue to comfort us all as we continue to remember such a beautiful and kind spirit. less

I will truly miss Helen, she was my at work neighbor. We always laughed about so much. I was so excited about her return back to work. God had to pick another good flower for his garden. I continue to pray for her family that God plant his angels all around them.

I know, because she had that twinkling eyes..... my colleague for almost 6 years.I can't believe she's gone too soon!! She loved to volunteer for goodwill causes. And, came up with various fun ways to raise $$$$. But she couldn't get me to do the Bingo, it just was't my thing. A few of us met regularly during our break time at our "reserved VIP table"to catch up on life, and social issues. But mostly about Helen's love and stories on her cruises. She was a Hard worker, Honest, Loyal and always Polite, never participating in gossips and never one to complain.
I invited her to my 50th birthday which she honored, later informing me she hadn't danced so much in years! 😀
Someone once said ,"what we have once enjoyed we never lose; all that we deeply love becomes a part of us!"
I remember Helen, she laughed at all my jokes including ones not funny.
She was a sweet colleague spreading Joy in morning
you hardly needed to add any honey to your morning coffee.
I hate to speak in past tense about a dear friend, but just as the image says, her precious memories live on and forever cherished.
I say to her family ,friends and associates, Helen was an unforgettable GEM.

She always attended my birthday celebrations at Club Ellery's every September. She was very reliable. We shared the love of traveling. We once took a road trip to Destin, Florida probably back in 2000. We also travelled to Hilton Head Island. We met through some mutual friends. My church held an Old Fashioned Picnic every June. Helen always attended with the 1000+ other people.
We did not talk often, but I was sure to see her in September and December. I last saw her at the Northside Hospital Christmas party in December 2019, and I last spoke with her on February 23rd.
I am still in disbelief. Sincere condolences to the family.
