As a teen, Elizabeth spent many days and nights hiking and hanging out in Sibley, with her life long friends- old and new.  As a mom, she was passionate about sharing her love of our amazing east bay parks and hiking trails, so she started a hiking group called the Wild Things, and brought that magic to our children and so many of their friends and families.  

With that passion and her joy in kind, we all thought it was fitting to celebrate her life with a hike in one of her favorite parks, followed by a picnic with good food, music, and friends. We hope you can join us. 

The day will begin with a 10 am hike in Sibley to the labyrinth in the canyon. There, her brother will make a dedication, and we will leave a part of her spirit ….to remember her always.

We will return to the parking lot at approximately 1 pm and move the remembrance to Bay Vista Picnic Area in Roberts Park.  Note: there is a 5$ parking fee in Roberts lot and parking is limited in both Sibley and Roberts lots. We strongly recommend carpooling from Montclair Village or another area. 

If you are unable to join both the hike and party, you are more then welcome to attend one or the other. No obligations or expectations. We will be adding a link to an evite for the event, so you can let us know if you plan to attend the picnic portion and where others can see who will attend. This will help us all plan accordingly for food, beverages, and potential carpool options.  

We hope you can join us to celebrate the joy that was Elizabeth, in a way that pays homage to our dear friend, sister, mother, daughter and Nature lover.
