Diane Hays, suddenly, passed away on Sunday evening, March 31, 2019, in Sun City, Az. She was 66 yrs. old.
Diane was born October 18, 1952 to her parents Alva H. Jr and Lorraine (Bissnette) Taylor. She had one older brother, Gary Dean Taylor.
She grew up on a ranch in Englewood, Ks. Learned to teach dance from her mom and graduated high school with her classmates from Englewood and Ashland, Ks. In March of 1970, she had her daughter, Michelle. She then moved to Woodward, Ok around 1972 where she taught dance(jazz, tap, ballet...), as well as in Laverne, Ok, for many years. Dance was always in her heart. In 1983, she moved to Oklahoma City and began her long career in apartment and property management, eventually getting her real estate license. This work took her many places: Oklahoma, Kansas/Missouri, Nebraska, California and Arizona. While in California she met her long time fiance', Mike Dale. They moved to Arizona in 1995 and were together more then 28 years. She retired in 2013.
During her retirement she loved lunching and activities with her friends, going estate sale shopping and taking her new schnauzer, Radar, to dog shows and most recently, barn hunts. She enjoyed being a water aerobics instructor and was in the ladies chorus at Sun Dial Recreation Center in Sun City.
Diane loved her schnauzer fur babies. She was reunited with Gretel, Dutchess, Princess and Jewel when she left this earth on Sunday. Charm and Radar will miss her. They are here and will be a comfort to Mike.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, her brother, her grandparents, Alva H Sr & Mary Taylor and Leon and Cecile Bissnette, as well as her aunts and uncle.
She is survived by her fiance' Mike Dale, her daughter, Michelle Tucker, her grandson, Nick Tucker, her Aunt Audrey Herrin and so many friends.
There will be a celebration of life. Date, time and place to be announced.

I first met Diane when I visited their home in about 1985-86. She was always very kind to me during my friendship with Michelle and was always willing to lend me an ear during those tumultuous teenage years. She didn’t have any reason to take the time to show any interest in a hormonal, sometimes short sighted kid. BUT, she did. There are always people that come and go in our lives. Some make an impact positively or negatively. She was a huge positive in my time of crisis when she could have only taken her daughters safety into account. And though, at the time, I didn’t like her final decisions that involved me. As a parent of four sons, I now fully appreciate and respect her wisdom in making those tough decisions for myself and how that could have affected her daughter. And to you Michelle, I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my father in 1986 the summer after leaving Oklahoma. It’s funny, I once rode to a small town I’d never heard of called Watonga with your mom, waiting for an hour or so to pick you up from a visit to Woodward. Now I’ve lived more than half my life in this area and even worked in the Watonga Hospital and Outpatient physical therapy clinic. Anyway, I hope the condolence finds you doing well. Glad I happened upon this page! less

Just now seeing this. Thank you for your kind words about my mom. Sorry to hear about your dad. Been a lot of years and hope you're doing well, too.
It was shocking to hear of Diane's death. I had just spoken to her a day or two before she passed and she sounded great. Diane was a good person and will truly be missed. My deepest sympathy for you Michelle, Nick and Mike.
I will always remember Diane as a smiling, spunky little gal with a beautiful voice. I was hoping to see her at a class reunion but we'll have a reunion later. So sorry for your loss, Michelle.

Anytime I was around her we had a good time . About 5 years ago she came out and stayed with us and we rode horses and laughed all the time . She was so much fun to be around . I would call her and she would say I was thinking about you or she would. Call me and I would tell her I was thinking of you for some reason Sunday I was thinking of her and I didn’t call I will miss her less
