Mom fiercely loved her children, providing wonderful stories and inspiration for how she protected us and fought for us. She was an amazing backgammon player, consistently rolling doubles and gleefully laughing as she would defeat us all. We loved going to musicals, and she danced in her seat at every show! I miss her smile and the spark in her eye, telling you she was up to something! She connected with people in such special quiet ways. It is a comfort that she is with Dad, as she missed her best friend these last 5 years.

My goodness did she know how to make some moves on the Graham trampoline in Dover, Ohio. Denise continued to be a force and a fighter, but what I love about her most is that she raised one of the most patient, kind, and thoughtful human beings I know. She gave me my life-long friend, Heather, and I love Denise dearly for that gift. less
A fond memory that has stayed with me is shopping with Aunt Denise. My mom was not interested in hanging out at the mall so the trips taken with Denise during summertime visits were special. I loved the girl time!
