Claire Sheridan Bartoli passed away May 15, 2019 after a long courageous battle with Parkinson’s. Claire was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on December 12, 1944. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School and Wilkes College where she received her Master’s Degree. Claire Sheridan Bartoli passed away May 15, 2019 after a long courageous battle with Parkinson’s. Claire was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on December 12, 1944. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School and Wilkes College where she received her Master’s Degree. Claire was preceded in death by her beloved husband David Thomas Bartoli, her parents, Esther (Cooney) and James Sheridan and brother Bobby. Her last employment was in San Antonia, TX at Southwest Research Institute. Claire’s specialty was computer training. She taught computer airplane simulation to pilots including Taiwanese military in Taiwan. Before that, she worked for Boeing in Vienna, Virginia and was a teacher in Wilkes-Barre. A consummate hostess, she hosted many holidays and dinners for family and friends. Claire enjoyed traveling the world. She is survived by her son whom she adored, Subir Chaklader, his wife Becky and her two beloved grandsons, Harry and David. She will be missed by her longtime companion, Douglas Miller, her siblings James Sheridan, Ruth Kozak, Esther Gowitzke, their children, cousins, and many more family and friends. A Catholic Mass will be held at Holy Spirit in Annandale Virginia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation.
