Carolyn Theresa Fountain was born in Menard, Texas in 1945.  She succumbed to her battle with dementia and passed away on Monday, June 29th in Sachse, Tx.

Carolyn's passions were painting, Native American Art, and her husband Sandy Fountain. After caring for her parents CD Word and wife Theresa at the end of their lives, she spent her last decades living with Sandy in the home where she grew up and decorating it with her eye for art and love of Southwestern style.

Wall Brethren Church was her church home, and she dearly loved the members there.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Sandy Fountain. Survivors include children Travis Strother Jr. and wife Janet, and Michael Strother. Grandchildren Kayla and Logan Strother. Her sisters, Sherry Vidler and husband Bob,  Pam Wells and husband Tim, her brother Carl Word and wife Becky, many nephews, nieces, cousins, and her first husband, Travis Strother.
