Brianna Jo Stevens, born on February 11, 2001 was called home at the age of 17 on December 26, 2018 from a rare brain disease called Moyamoya.
Brianna was a young dedicated girl with a long promising life ahead of her. She has an endless thirst to grow, learn and ensured to never let anything or anyone hinder her from meeting her goals. A leader in many ways, Brianna always tried to find positivity in things and spread her contagious energy to everyone around her. Brianna was an generous, caring, loving, hardworking, and sassy girl who loved her life riding ATV’s, going on cruises, laughing, traveling, watching NETFLIX, painting, crafting, spending time with family, friends and giving back to her community.
Brianna was in her senior year at Rancho High school and due to graduate with honors on May 28, 2019. Brianna spent most of her time and energy excelling in her academics in the Sports Medical Magnet Program, participating in Student Council and Magnet Student Ambassadors along with building unforgettable memories with her friends. Brianna was yet to decide where she was going to attend college, but started early applying to Utah’s Dixie State, University of Nevada Las Vegas and University of Nevada Reno.
Brianna is survived by her two parents, Denny and Bridget Stevens; her two sisters, Alurea and Haylee Stevens; her grandparents, Sharron Stevens, Roger and Teresa Peters, Mary Peters; her uncles and aunts; her cousins; her close friends and her great love of her three dogs, Cinnamon, Khloe and Jiminy. Brianna joins her grandfather, Alvin Stevens; uncle, Carlos Cortez; great grandparents, Theron and Ossie Stevens, Wickley and Ruth Gubler, Harold and Florabell Peters and Anita Fox.
The memory of Brianna’s 17 year old warm laughter and personality will be greatly missed and will live on through all who knew her
Visitation starts at 9 a.m. PST Saturday January 12, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1825 N. Hollywood Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada 89156. Services are scheduled to start at 11 a.m. PST immediately preceding visitation, with Bishop Jeff Prisbrey officiating.
Interment will follow services at 4 p.m. MST at the City of La Verkin Cemetery, 580 N State St, La Verkin, Utah 84745.
Visitation, the service and interment are open to everyone. All are welcome to come and pay your respects.
