Angelina Maria Schena Atherley 1926 – 2019

Angelina was born in Mammoth, Utah on June 2^nd, 1926 to Angelo and Mary Schena.  She was a graduate of Tintic High School, a Utah war bond queen in July of 1945, and she worked as a telephone operator in Eureka Utah. 

Angelina married Daniel John Atherley on July 19^th, 1948.  Together Angelina and Daniel lived in Eureka, Utah, Delta, Utah and Henderson, Nevada, just to name a few, before settling in Vernon, Utah on the old Atherley “Moon Shine Ranch”; there they raised their three children, Danny Angelo, Benny Lawren, and Mary Lu.  After the children had grown, they made their home in Lehi, Utah.

Angelina loved to cook, especially her Ravioli dinners.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her great joy and it was very important to her that each one of them receive a higher education beyond high school.  In her retirement years, she and Daniel would spend the winter months in Mexico.

Angelina has 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband Daniel John in 2000; siblings Rebello, Neno, Benny, Bernadina and Boyd

Angelina is survived by her sister Carmella Schena Hoelzle, along with her children Danny Angelo Atherley (Beverley), Benny Lawren Atherley (Louanne), and Mary Lu Davies (Alan)
