I remember playing ball with him in high school, and have only seen him a handful of times since. Tough as nails, fearless, hard worker, and a quiet leader that had your back no matter what. The first thing that came to mind when I learned he was in his final days how I always felt so much safer on the football field when he was on it too. It was an honor, Jack, and it seems like yesterday.
