My family moved to Durham in 2014. It was a transition as we moved from a large city. My daughter was 10 at the time and our funny french bulldog, Rose, was 4. During our walks around the neighborhood we met Jen. From day one it was like we had known her a lifetime. She had such a kind heart and one of the most amazing smiles we had ever seen. Our dog fell in love with Jen just like we did and soon Jen insisted Rose stay with her when we went out of town for our daughter's lacrosse tournaments. Over time we all became friends and we enjoyed spending time together. Jen brought so much joy into our lives and this world. Jen also had a great sense of humor. She sent us this picture when she was hanging with Rose at a co-working space called Barley Labs and it was bring your dog to work day. She always made us laugh. We will miss her, but our memories will always warm our heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
