It's always sad for me to hear when a classmate passes these days. It's doubly sad when they are also a friend. I'm speaking of our classmate and friend Mark Lawrence. I remember meeting Mark back when I was attending Hawthorne Elementary back in 1963. I loved his humor. It wasn't hard to laugh when he was around. He knew how to tell some stories. He always had everyone in stitches. It was like that throughout Junior High and High school too. His Facebook posts over the last several years had me cracking up. He didn't hesitate to use your photo to create something outlandishly hilarious and then post it. It was his way to reach out to all of his friends with that humor that was especially his. We'll miss you man!
