On Delores’ maternal side, her lineage weaves through the Midwest and Southern United States, and can be traced back to Switzerland, England, and Germany. Her mother, Ruth, was born in 1905 to Isaac Spencer and Ida May Parrott. Following the maternal Parrott line of her mother’s roots, her 5th great-grandfather immigrated to the United States from Bern, Switzerlandand settled in Toms Brook, Virginia. Delores' Parrott family heritage traces back into the 1700s, and settled in Verwaltungskreis Bern-Mittelland, Bern, Switzerland and La Sagne, Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
