Hey Marcus, thinking back to Bacich, Kent and Redwood, I'm reminded why all the photos of us together were at the beginning or the end of MTB races. You were always so far ahead, I could never keep up on the trail! Even in college when I briefly visited you at Michigan, I remember following you to the top of your fraternity, seeing your penthouse room you had all to yourself and thinking, "I hope I'll be able to not have roommates someday". I wish I could keep looking up to you.

I've been smiling and crying a lot the last couple days as I remember how good it felt to make you laugh. I remember it being a little bit easier in the dusty pop ups during biking seasons and I think it was because those were places you felt happy and at home. You will never leave those memories for me, and I hope you were able to find places like that in the time since we last spoke. Thank you Marcus for making those memories as vibrant as they are for me, you are missed and you are loved.
