As I look back over time
I find myself wondering. . .
Did I remember to thank you enough
For all you have done?
To understand our problems,
And accept our defeats?
Or for teaching by your example,
The value of hard work, good judgment,
Courage and integrity?
Am thanking you now.
And hoping you knew all along,
How much you meant to us.
Especially those of us,
You knew from a distance.
