I was privileged and delighted to call Adrienne my Aunt for about 25 years, since she became my Uncle Bob's beloved partner. She was always stylish and poised but genuinely warm and solicitous, and was a lovely great-aunt to my kids. She attributed her demeanor to having attended finishing school, and that's an appropriate term since she is the complete package!
The most generous role she played in our lives was taking special care of ailing Bob, even when he could no longer express his appreciation for her. My family is quite small to begin with, so without Adrienne it is - immensely smaller.
