Glen enjoyed building things and the picture frame that he made in this photo is one of my most prized possessions. It now holds one of his granddaughter's early pieces of artwork but when he gave it to me it had a really big, possibly unflattering, photo of me and my high school best friend in it. You see, when I was in high school, Glen and my mom went out of town for the weekend, and my friend and I decided to have a small party while they were away. Big mistake! One of my friends got a little rowdy and broke one of the stair rails in the house. I didn't know it at the time but Glen saved that stair rail and made me a picture frame out of it. I will always remember that mistake but will also always remember that Glen was forgiving and understanding and could find humor in life's lessons. I'm so thankful to have some things that he made and will always cherish them.
