I had planned to be there today, but will not make it, unfortunately. I was a customer of Pat’s for 16 years. When I met Pat, he and I immediately hit it off and were friends from the start. He was a mentor to me while coming up in the electrical world.
In 2007, I got Masters tickets handed to me the night before. Pat was my first call. We met, along with another salesman and a customer, in a Denny’s parking lot at 4AM the next morning and headed to Augusta. You’d have thought we all just won the lottery. That day will always be my favorite memory of Pat, but there are so many more.
He had stories for days, forgotten more about fishing than I’ll ever know and hit the most consistently straight tee shot I’ve ever seen.
Rest well, my friend. You are sorely missed.
