Dereck Mangus's Album: Wall Photos

Though I met with only Eunice one-on-one during the last few years of my work with Life/Work Direction, Don remained an ever-present and important part of my time there. He often answered the door when I arrived a little early at 32 Halifax Street and Eunice was wrapping up a session with someone else. He would briefly discuss art or politics with me, often making some kind of wisecrack that was always part joke/part wisdom, while offering me some tea while I waited. "Are you acquainted with my Chinese master, Thai Ming? He's always very punctual." Even then, in this more informal role, Don was an instrumental part of the process. He will be greatly missed. But I know he will always be with us in spirit. May he rest in peace. [Photo caption: Don and Eunice with my sister Jenni on her wedding day in December 2006.]
