Dennis Zen's Album: Wall Photos

I first met Vicky in the Bay Area Acting Studio, late 2013. I was shy and introverted so I never made much effort to make friends. It wasn't until Spring of 2014 when she asked me to tag along with her friends to a Burlesque show. I didn't know why she asked me out of the blue, I guess my good nature caught her attention and she wanted me in her circle of friends. Being a nice guy to a person whom I didn't know too well, I said, "Okay."

And it was a fun night. She introduced me to edible popcorns. Now, I didn't know edible was food that had cannabis in it, I just thought it's edible to eat. So I ate a bunch. I remember her generosity and wanted to make sure I had fun. I guess that's why she bought me lots of drinks, I think orange vodka, it tasted great. It was the first time I got high and drunk and had fun. She kinda felt bad afterwards as I crashed at her friends place and left early the next morning, but I had something to do. I assured her it wasn't her fault and I had a blast and it was my fault for being an idiot to eat all that edible popcorn and drinking. She made me a rebel.

And that's how we became friends. We hung out often, mostly eating ice cream at Baskin Robins and chatting. Even in LA we hung out often. She was unconditionally supportive of my dreams, always sending me words of encouragement, saying she is there when I needed to chat. She's a total goofball, always making an effort to learn how to whistle. Sorry for telling these peeps Vicky, but she didn't know how to whistle. However, she practiced so much that she eventually got it, sort off.

I'll be honest, after she moved back to the Bay Area and got married to the love of her life, I hadn't been in touch...

Vicky, I can't find any words to describe what an amazing person you are. Brave, wild, compassionate, and accepting. You're good person who see's the good in people, and you made damn sure they know that. You always knew how to make everyone have a good time. I'm glad you were that person to get me high and drunk. I'll miss your random texts of encouragement. Now go meet your loved ones up there.

The photo is one of the sketch shows I went to watch her perform in. Another amazing bud of hers, Shannon, is in this photo. Vicky was awesome in the show.
