Our family had our fishing trip the year of 2007 and I was 8 years old. This was the start of some of the best memories of my life. This specific memory is one night with Pete dad grandpa and me in the boat. I was up front in the boat and had gotten a big hit. I was so excited to have what I thought was a big fish on the line. The fight seemed to have taken hours which was actually probably 10 minutes. It went under the boat and everything. Dad was driving the boat and doing everything he could to make sure the this fish was able to get in the boat. Pete grabbed the net. he put it into the water waiting for the fish to come up. The fish continued to make my reel spin. It finally started coming up from under the boat and Pete was there with the net. Pete reached over and netted the fish. The northern broke the net and grandpa even with his broken back leaned over and grabbed the net/fish and threw it in the boat. We got it in and screamed in excitement. Dad came over and gave me the biggest hug and we just barely found the words to say and I am so glad that we all could share this moment together. The northern ended up being 42" and I never could have imagined that my 3 best friends would be apart of one of the biggest accomplishments of my life. I will always treasure this memory with my dad, brother, and grandpa.

Love,
Natey
