Today I learned that I lost a dear friend. I have known Serenella for more than 40 years. I was with her on one of her first customer visits in about 1985. I knew immediately that I had just met someone who walked to the beat of her own drum. She wore a magnificent skin-tight, black leather designer suit. This was not typical business attire in the conservative central Ohio of that era. She made quite a statement! From that trip, we became friends for life. During those years I witnessed an extraordinary woman. Extremely strong and intelligent. And, as many have said: Passionate. I have felt her friendship, love, sharp wit and searing anger. Once she took me as her friend, she never let go, including my family. Go with God my friend. Heaven will never be the same.
