I took this photo the first day I met Abel, for the Race Track Industry Program yearbook. He always said it made him look "snarky"...which is kind of perfect. He made an impression on me that day, and I liked him a lot right off the bat. We finally convinced him to work with us, and office life was never the same. Aside from his awesome and unique personality, he was one of the smartest people I ever met. So competent in everything he set his mind to. Kind and generous. He looked out for the girls in the program, and took their safety from unwanted outside attention seriously and personally. My respect and admiration for him as a human is unquantifiable (is that a word?). He grew to be such a special and important part of my life, and I miss him terribly.
