I will always remember Liz’s contagious laugh, adventurous spirit, and the fun she brought with her wherever she went. I got to know Liz in high school, where she was a lively member of New Players and good friends with my younger sister, Andrea. A couple of years later, I saw Liz’s hardworking, empathetic, and curious nature in action at Michigan. It was always such a treat to see her on campus and hear about her accomplishments at Ford and passion for public health - as well as the great time she was having with her friends. While we hadn’t seen each other in a few years, I was so impressed by her online presence, where she never failed to speak up for what was right and displayed a keen sense of justice. Liz is truly unforgettable. The Safirstein family has made a contribution to Centro Primo Levi in Liz's memory. We are all sending our sincerest condolences to the Oliva family during this heartbreaking time.
