I first began hearing Hossein's name 8 years ago, when I was working as the Medical Director of Mental Health Systems. I began hearing about an dynamic new psychiatrist who had joined the provider staff in the MHS North San Diego County clinics. The MHS Program Managers and Vice Presidents who were working with Hossein were frequently praising him enthusiastically. Later, as my own career path changed, I have had the wonderful opportunity to work under his leadership at Senior Medical Associates. I am deeply saddened to hear of his tragic passing. He was one of the great ones, who has had a positive impact on the lives of many. I am happy to have also been able to work as a colleague with his wife, Esther, and to have met their beautiful children. My deepest condolences to Esther and the children, and to his family, friends, coworkers, patients-to all the many who had the opportunity to know him.
