We are saddened to share the news of the sudden passing of our dear friend and colleague Wenzile Mthimkhulu. Wenzile led the supply chain work for the Clinton Health Access Initiative in Liberia. He made huge strides for the country, working alongside his colleagues in CHAI and in the government. He was a trusted advisor and friend to his government counterparts and took extraordinary time to help ensure better access to medicines for people who need them.
A ‘gentle giant’, Wenzile was a calm and warm presence and was beloved by his friends and colleagues. His humility and kindness made him the type of person every member of the team felt they could approach when they needed help.
Wenzile was the bedrock of his family and returned home in recent weeks to spend time with them. He leaves behind his three children along with his mother, father, and sister who he cared for deeply.
