Wanda M. Peterson transitioned to eternal rest on the 3rd of August surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was a true "Philly" fan supporting any team that represented her city but specifically a devoted fan to the Eagles, win or lose. She enjoyed life to its fullest through song & dance even implementing "Friday Night" dance nights with her family. Her infectious personality made her easy to talk to and leaving you wanting more quality time with her. She was a motivator and a spirit-lifter while allowing you to use your own self-reflection to fix any conflict in your life. She was a true matriarch.
She is a woman veteran having served four years active duty and 31 years civil service for the Department of the Army. Her passion is event planning, and was owner and operator of Zeenya Events from 1998 to 2015. She helped clients experience joy and lasting memories of baby showers, anniversaries, birthdays, weddings, and parties.
Wanda impacted the lives of so many with her infectious laugh, genuine loving nature, and she cared and loved with all of her soul. Her life journey cannot be summarized in a few sentences but she showed an immense amount of strength, resilience, joy, and realness. Her legacy is her life, and she told her grandson and granddaughter to continue in her memory. Wanda is truly missed and is watching over us.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made in Wanda's honor to: www.gcsproject.org.
