Ms. Vivian Marie Martinez, age 81 of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, July 7th, 2020. She was surrounded by the love of her family after a 7-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Vivian was born September 2, 1938 in Taos, New Mexico to Amelia Arguello and Escolastico Medina. She grew up in Rock Springs, Wyoming and spent most of her adult life in Mesa, Arizona.
Vivian had a giving heart and loved to serve her church and help the elderly. She spent her career as a medical assistant and a caregiver.
Her death is preceded by her parents Amelia Arguello, Escolastico Medina, and step father Malaquias Arguello. Also, both her sisters Luggie Petersen and Joann Williamson.
Vivian is survived by her three brothers, Ed, Leroy & Ron Arguello. Two daughters and one son, Renee Clark, Luann Tolman, and Edward Martinez. She was a loving grandmother to 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A private celebration of life was held on Sunday July 12th, 2020 to honor and celebrate her life.
